A set of wide-ranging ideas - think bike lanes, tax incentives and maybe a burrito stand - is emerging from a group exploring ways to liven up the "college town" atmosphere around Winthrop University.
Winthrop men's soccer coach Rich Posipanko has unveiled a 20-game schedule for the 2010 season. The Eagles will host three exhibition games and have eight regular season home games.
Winthrop's volleyball team will play a 29-match regular-season schedule in 2010, including 11 home games in the Winthrop Coliseum.
The Old Town Market in Rock Hill will feature local foods and crafts on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month this summer.

It was tough to get a table at two downtown restaurants Sunday, but diners didn’t seem to mind.
They had entertainment from area jazz musicians and guest servers such as Rock Hill Mayor Doug Echols with a rag busing tables to watch — and it was for a good cause.
At Jazz Lunch for Haiti on Sunday afternoon, McHale’s On Main and Citizen Corners donated 20 percent of the day’s profits to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund.
