Famous for bow ties, drop in to The Cordial Churchman’s new studio
ROCK HILL – The Cordial Churchman, a known online, handcrafted, freestyle bow tie company, has received such an international following that the business has opened a new studio in Old Town Rock Hill, SC. Since June 2009, owner, Ellie Stager, has managed the business out of her home studio. Now with over 80 handcrafted bow ties being sold per week, she has hired additional staff and relocated to a studio in the heart of the community she loves. On Thursday, July 26, the studio doors located on the 2nd floor of the Gettys Art Center, 201 East Main Street will be open for The Cordial Drop-In from 5-8pm. Guests can enjoy free, refreshing beverages, finger foods, tours of the studio and demonstrations of custom bow ties being crafted.
Levi Strauss stores in the U.S. and Canada featured The Cordial Churchman bow ties as part of their Fall 2011 line. Southern Living Magazine and many fashion blogs like www.putthison.com and www.backdownsouth.com encourage the bow tie trend and publish the styles and fabric combinations The Cordial Churchman has crafted. These reputable “style experts” recognize the artistic talent and quality of work produced here in Rock Hill.
Stager states, “I’ve been drawn to the Old Town area of town as the right place for my online business because artistic work is appreciated and cultivated here.” She welcomes visitors to the studio any Monday through Thursday from 10am-3pm or by appointment. This invitation gives customers the opportunity to pick out or drop of their favorite fabrics as well as learn in-person how to tie a bow tie properly.
