Historic Rock Hill Presents Antique Car Show

ROCK HILL, SC, March 9, 2017 –– Historic Rock Hill invites the public to their first official Antique Car Show being held on Thursday, April 20, from 2-6pm.

In conjunction with Come See Me’s opening day activities, the Antique Car Show will take place on the grounds of the White Home and will feature restored cars from the early 1900’s to mid-1930’s, placing emphasis on the Anderson model.

Manufactured in Rock Hill, SC  in the early 1900’s, the Anderson was considered the most successful automobile ever built in the Southern United States and plays a tremendous part in Rock Hill’s unique history.  Today, there are just a handful of Andersons still in existence and Historic Rock Hill will be showcasing a few of these rare automobiles in their show.

In addition to having an opportunity to view the antique cars and engage in direct conversation with their owners, guests will be allowed to stroll through the White Home gardens, or take a tour of the historic home.  Admission into the car show is FREE to the public.  However, donations to Historic Rock Hill are encouraged.  Entry into the White Home is $5 for adults; children 5 and under are free.  In the event of significant or steady rain on April 20, postponing the show to later date will be necessary.

To learn more about Historic Rock Hill’s Antique Car Show, to become a sponsor or to register an antique car in the show, please contact Historic Rock Hill at 803.329.1020 or info@historicrockhill.com.

All donations are tax deductible and will benefit Historic Rock Hill’s White Home and support Historic Rock Hill’s goal of taking the organization to a higher level in the community by implementing new and improved programs, special events and historic preservation initiatives.  A private 501C3, Historic Rock Hill’s mission is preserving and protecting the historic resources of Rock Hill, SC to enhance the livability of its historic areas through offering educational programs, hosting special events and community activities, and by leading preservation initiatives.
