By entering Old Town events, you understand and agree that your photograph or image may be taken in any public place. You further grant permission and consent to the City of Rock Hill and nonprofit entities working with the City to promote the City's downtown area to use any such photograph, motion picture, or image for any reasonable purpose.

ROCK HILL, SC – Brand new for 2017! The Arts Council presents Art on Tap and Art Market at the Gettys Art Center, 201 E. Main St., Rock Hill, SC 29730 on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 5:30 – 7:30 PM. 

Art on Tap features interactive art activities for all ages, music by Small Axe with Ashley Peeples, Jason Poore, and Adam Snow, and craft beer. Bring a lawn chair or a picnic blanket, take a seat in the parking lot of the Gettys Art Center, kick back, and relax! Listen to a unique blend of reggae/rocksteady/ska music performed by Small Axe while enjoying a craft beer. Adults and children are invited to help renowned artist John Daso create three public works of art to be displayed in Old Town Rock Hill during the 13th Annual Blues & Jazz Festival on Friday, October 6. Design a #RockHillRocks painted rock to hide in and around York County! Stroll through the Art Market where affordable, original works of art crafted by local artists are available for purchase. Head inside the Gettys Art Center. Many of the studio artists in the Gettys are keeping their doors open throughout the event. Stop in to find out what’s new in Old Town!

 

Admission is free. Tickets for Painting with John Daso are $5, and are available at the event and in advance online at yorkcountyarts.org, by phone at 803-328-2787, or in person at the Center for the Arts, 121 E. Main St., Rock Hill, SC. All painting supplies are furnished. Sponsored by B&B Distributors, Rock Hill Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Wells Fargo, Williams & Fudge, and the Woman’s Club of Rock Hill.
