EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY

By entering Old Town events, you understand and agree that your photograph or image may be taken in any public place. You further grant permission and consent to the City of Rock Hill and nonprofit entities working with the City to promote the City's downtown area to use any such photograph, motion picture, or image for any reasonable purpose. 

Small Grants for York County Artists

ROCK HILL, SC – The Arts Council of York County offers small grants to individual artists, non-profit organizations and schools throughout York County to help support projects of high artistic quality. Small grants are designed to support small or pilot arts activities to new and developing programs or organizations. Special art projects that develop during the year are also eligible for small grants. The deadline to apply for programs occurring January – March 2019 is 5:00 PM on Sunday, December 1, 2018.

 

Previous grant recipients include: Ashley Beard (visual artist), ChristmasVille (art installation), Friday Arts Project (Art Festival), Friendship College Trustee board (artistic tribute), Fort Mill Middle School (winter musical), Rock Hill Symphony Orchestra (outreach program), Town of Clover/Gallery 120 (Blues & Jazz Festival), Benjamin Sliker (short filmmaker), and Special Needs and Family Empowerment (art exhibit and sales). 

 

Organizations and individual artists may request up to $1,000 per grant and may receive up to two grants in a calendar year. Prospective applicants MUST discuss the proposed project with the Executive Director at least 10 days in advance of the application deadline date. This Small Grants program is funded in part by the South Carolina Arts Commission, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the John and Susan Bennett Memorial Arts Fund of the Coastal Community Foundation, and Comporium Communications.
